Inc. Magazine Recognizes polySpectra As A Technological Innovator

We were super honored that Greg Satell of Inc. invited us to chat about the challenges of commercializing physical science innovations. Here, our founder Raymond explains to Greg how a new type of chemistry called PhotoLithographic Olefin Metathesis led him to found Polyspectra.

Raymond originally sought to release this technology in the semiconductor industry for computer chips, but found it hard to break through without an already proven platform.

This is when he made a pivot to the 3D printing market, where he noticed the current generation of resins are brittle and melt easily. Raymond knew his process could solve both problems, so he visited Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory’s Cyclotron Road to work on a new resin.

The result is not only stronger than others on the market, but can handle temperatures up to 150 degrees Celsius.
